Jammu & Kashmir has a liberal industrial policy. For the growth
of business and industry in the state, the Government offers various
incentives to the investors. The Jammu & Kashmir State Industrial Development Corporation (J&K SIDCO) is responsible for the industrial development in the state. It promotes the establishment and development of medium and large scale industries in the state. A number of industrial estates have been developed by SIDCO both in Kashmir and Jammu region. The industrial estates are fully developed and all facilities like roads, water, drainage, power, schools and hospitals are available. The industrial centres of Jammu & Kathua are connected by rail.
