Jammu & Kashmir provides ample scopes in travel and tourism. The
state offers a rich diversity of landscapes, religions, and people. This
state holds the glorious history of the valiant kings, the placid
lakes, the greenery of the forests and the amazing rivers.
It is
divided into three distinct regions – Kashmir, Jammu and the Ladakh
valley. The Kashmir valley is a mosaic of forests, waterways and covered
with snow clad mountains. The Jammu region provides religious
destinations to the Hindus. Here the shrine of Mata Vaishnu Devi is
situated and the site is beautiful enough to stare. The third is the
Ladakh region situated on the high altitude of Himalayan Mountains and
is a sparsely populated desert studded with Buddhist monasteries which
are its main attraction.
