Budgam is the smallest district in Jammu & Kashmir covering 1% area of the whole state and 6% of the total population of the state. The district is bounded by the districts
of Baramulla and Srinagar in the north, Pulwama in the south and the
Poonch border in the south-west. Budgam is one of the youngest districts of the state of J & K, carved out from the erstwhile Srinagar District
in 1979. Budgam offers many stunning locales and has tremendous tourism
potential that has largely remained unexplored. The worth visiting
places are Tosamaidan, Nilnag and Khag.
